Our intimate hideaway is located in the historic village of Ortahisar, in Cappadocia. Once a traditional village home, Elaa Cave blends modern comfort with authentic charm offering just six cosy cave rooms all individually styled to highlight Cappadocia’s famed troglodyte architecture. While all rooms open out into a tranquil central courtyard, our upstairs terrace hosts expansive views across the surrounding tumble of stone-cut village houses, with Ortahisar’s mighty rock citadel rising up above.

We are located in the historic village of Ortahisar, conveniently close to all the major tourism sites in Cappadocia. Comparatively untouched by tourism, Ortahisar still retains much of its traditional ambience. It’s the perfect base for exploring the fresco-filled rock-cut churches and surreal moonscape of valleys for which the region is famed.

Owners, Ruth Lockwood and Cemal Koksal are personalized in their approach to every guest and with nearly 30 years' experience in local tourism between them, will ensure your stay at Elaa Cave Hotel is memorable in every way. Don't hesitate to ask them to assist you in organizing local day tours, hot air balloon rides, horse riding across the valleys or simply to provide insights for the best of the local restaurants, shops and cafes.
It's a small boutique hotel/ bed n breakfast tucked in in the quiet village of Ortahisar and it's fabulous. The location is perfect near the castle n close to the downtown, yet away from the noise. Perfect for a romantic getaway. The hostess n the staff are very warm and take acre of all your needs. Also help you in giving information about the places to visit. Highly recommend this beautiful quaint little gem in Cappadocia. Their terrace is a paradise and has a perfect setting overlooking the village n the Ortahisar castle.
Unlike the overrun-with-tourists Göreme, Elaa Cave is located in Ortahisar, which has a much
more local and homey feel. The owners, Ruth and Cemal, and the manager, Elif were great. My room was cosy, and their
breakfasts definitely fill you up for a day off exploration!
I also went for horse rides with Cemal (he owns 2 ranches), and had a thoroughly enjoyable time - it was a great way
to explore the beautiful valleys - with not another tourist in sight!!
